oh blog

how I have neglected you!!! I have just been lazy. but I have been doing some projects around the house. like today, I bought a weed eater. I did not want to look at how ragged the front yard looked around the driveway and sidewalk. oh don't get me wrong I am not getting all crazy...I have decided that I just have to keep the front yard looking nice, the backyard can wait 27 more days.

I also tried to start a garden, but I have accepted I am not the green thumb in the family...I am crossing my fingers I can keep 2 tomato plants alive for 27 more days

also I got annoyed that my beautiful flowers at the front door died due to lack of h20, so I got all fake ones! I don't think you can tell from the street and that is all that matters, hehe



replaced the ceiling fan that I broke one blade off of, spray painted another fan, spray painted some ugly door knobs


I still have one more room to paint and I don't have to look at blue anymore!

it's my day

thank you everyone for the bday wishes, also for calling and singing to me...I loved it. having so many well wishes was very needed because I could not share the day with my family...here's to 38

this pretty was made with a piece of steel rebar that I got at Lowes...it is about 3 ft...pound that baby in the ground and then just slide the pots over, stacking till I liked the look...can you tell which flowers are fake?

finally...an updated post from me, I know, this darn JOB thing is taking up too much time. well I mentioned I was having house guests...my parents came to visit for some sun and fun, leaving snow and cold behind, they had such a great time and their 'to do lists' were not complete they had to extend their visit!!! I was great! so a few pics of what has been going on...

the old folks are in town and there is no rest and relaxation going on here! I am working and enjoying my days off getting this down around the house. it really is great they get up early with me when I work, drop me off at work (no walking from the parking lot to the car) work on their "honey do list" pick me up at the door and then we get more things done! oh don't worry they are still getting a few naps in during the day and I think they may be on first name basis with the employees from 2 different Lowes and Home Depots. oh I will get pics and post today,some of our projects.
