So I just have to share the great deals I got. As an 'O' we have to buy all of our uniforms, no more free issue. As luck would have it I was going to buy my uniforms a last week and then I was told I would not be going to the June class but the August class, so with a few more weeks I decided to not go 'uniform shopping' that day. Instead I was shopping on our local online yard sale site and guess what. There was someone selling all their officer blues and Dress Mess! They were my size! So last night I tried the stuff on and bought almost everything. She was my height too!!! What are the chances??? I don't have a dollar amount of how much I saved but I am curious so I just might figure it out. That year of pain in the butt, tracking stuff done and waiting feels so worth it. Oh remind me how excited I am today when I am having a 'no love for the AF kind of day'.

something has gone as planned!!!!

I am doing my commissioning ceremony Tuesday. One step closer. I am so excited. I will post pics. I don't know that you can really call it a ceremony I am read an oath and I sign. I am thinking it will take all of 10 minutes. LOL.

well, I was told my class date got pushed till late Aug. what does this mean...like everything with the mil. be flexible!!!! so we are in the mist of changing plans and just trying to get some solid dates...oh the joy

field trip

Brice and I went on a field trip yesterday to a Science Museum here. It was fun. I rode along on the bus, we brought a sack lunch to eat and extra euro for ice cream. I realize Brice is my 'mini me' we are not meant to spend the entire day together!! Oh the sweet boy was fun.

assignment

I am going to TEXAS. right now I am excited. but I will tell you when I first read the email, I cried. I had Texas on my list but that was number 3, I really wanted to go to Ohio. But I am so excited now. I do love Texas. Am excited that I will be starting this new adventure. Oh and I leave for training at the end of June, so count them less than 40 days. Holy Cow!!! The boys will be going to Texas for the summer and they are super excited. When we were there last summer Oma & Papi bought them a pool and during the day they go to the Boys and Girls club, so they will be seeing friends from last summer. So I soon I can start my retirement calender!!!! 10 yrs baby, that will fly by.

yet on my first assignment. and I am trying to keep my hopes under control. LOL. all I know is that I am planning on Aug for 5 wks of training and then I have another 10 wks that may or may not be at my first duty station.

I had a pre-Mother's day this year and celebrated on Saturday. I woke to my wonderful presents and I did not have to go to baseball!! Danny took the boys and I went back to sleep till 10! Well I might have been a tee bit hung over is why I went back to sleep. lol. oh and I got some beautiful flowers. at this age the boys are so funny I will scan and post what Trent has written to me.

today is the day!!!!

I have been selected!!! I will be 2Lt, RN, USAF. However it is not official because the selection list has not been signed, so no class date or assignment but I know. Yes!!! Retirement in 10 yrs!! a job, a new car, which meant moving, and new challenges. Oh Happy Day!
